John Whittaker Artist

I am a self-taught artist who works in oil paint on canvas. I live in Tilehurst, on the edge of Reading, Berkshire – not far from the River Thames and the Berkshire Downs. 

I specialise in oil paintings on canvas of landscapes, trees, gardens, foliage and floral subjects – often of local scenes.

I like to exploit the use of colour as a means of expression. Many of my paintings could be described as being ‘impressionistic’ in style.
